Senior Project Coordinator

Project Coordinator is required to participate in DND IT infrastructure meetings, create and maintain project documentation, project coordination, develop schedule, and support for all the projects within the portfolio. Specialist will be responsible to create and maintain all Shared Service Canada (SSC) business requirement documents (BRDs) with IM/IT project work coordination.

Mandatory requirements

• Experience producing and managing Shared Services Canada (SSC) Business Requirements Documents (BRD) within the last 2 years.
• 10 years of experience working on DND and/or SSC IM/IT projects
• Experience producing project documentation such as:
  Project Schedules with milestones
  Meeting minutes & RODs
  WBS or Task Traceability matrix

Optional requirements

• Experience within the last ten (10) years working as a project coordinator on DND and/or SSC IM/IT projects
• 10 years experience within the last fifteen (15) years working on major IM/IT capital project (above $10M)
• Experience within the last ten (10) years with project coordination and synchronization of tasks
• Experience within the last ten (10) years of using Microsoft Project

General tasks

• Produce all required SSC BRDs, overall project plan, and coordinate the required work related to these BRDs and plans
• Assist project management and project team members, technical users and end users in project coordination and synchronization tasks
• Provide administrative and technical support of a clerical nature as required to a project team
• Assist in performing such tasks as maintaining project documentation and application/system libraries
• Track project requests and BRDs
• Maintain and update relevant project information in manual and/or electronic files. Project information might include such things as project activity schedule, status reports correspondence
• Use computer tools, aids, system control languages on PCs, minis, or mainframes to perform work
• Communicate with project management and data processing professionals, technical users, and end users on administrative matters related to the project
• Plan, direct and control the BRD activities within scheduled time and cost parameters
• Evaluate proposed computer applications to determine technical, operational, and economic feasibility
• Support several IM/IT infrastructure Project Managers
