Public Sector client requires a Senior Life Cycle Management Specialist.

Mandatory requirements

  1. At least 48 months of combined experience in the last 72 months providing military weapons systems technical services, with experience in at least 4 of the 6 following services:
    • Ordnance Engineering Systems support;
    • Live Firing Test Plans and Trials;
    • Investigation of armament incidents;
    • Electro-Optical System Engineering Support for the Fire Control Systems and Targeting systems;
    • Preparation and review of instructions and procedures regarding the appropriate handling, clean-up, protective clothing, and safety measures to deal with ordnance and ammunition;
    • Environmental or hazardous materiel assessments of equipment and systems.
  2. At least 48 months of combined experience in the last 72 months providing technical services relating to the Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank ammunition, with experience in at least 4 of the 5 following domains:
    • Technical studies related to 120mm ammunition natures used in the Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank;
    • Preparation and review of documents for Ammunition Safety and Suitability Board;
    • Live Firing Trials results analysis of the Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank;
    • Technical evaluation of plans and standards related to weapon systems that fires ammunition natures used in the Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank;
    • Procedures regarding the appropriate handling and safety measures to deal with the Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank ammunition.
  3. At least 48 months of combined experience in the last 72 months in providing technical services relating to the Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank, with experience in at least 4 of the 6 following services:
    • Review of Live Firing Test Plans and support of Live Firing Trials for the Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank.
    • Investigation of the Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank armament incidents.
    • Research and Development into offensive and defensive ordnance systems as they might affect the survivability of the Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank.
    • Preparation and review of specifications of systems, sub-systems, equipment, interfaces or ancillaries for equipment and ammunition related to the Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank.
    • Review of standards related to the weapon system/fire control of Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank.
    • Review of test plans, procedures and reports related to Leopard 2 Main Battle Tank.

General tasks

  1. Conduct technical studies related to munitions and armament support;
  2. Provide Ordnance Engineering Systems support for DASPM 4;
  3. Provide support, advice, and recommendations for Live Firing Trials;
  4. Review Live Firing Test Plans;
  5. Provide support to DASPM 4 for investigation of armament incidents;
  6. Provide Electro-Optical System Engineering Support services to support the Fire Control Systems and Targeting systems relating to the Leopard 2 vehicle fleet;
  7. Conduct Research and Development into offensive and defensive ordnance systems as they might affect the survivability of the Leopard 2 vehicle fleet;
  8. Provide draft specifications of systems, sub-systems, equipment, interfaces or ancillaries for equipment and ammunition related to the Leopard 2 vehicle fleet;
  9. Provide draft technical evaluation plans and evaluation standards related to ordnance and ammunition;
  10. Generate and/or evaluate test plans, procedures and reports related to ordnance and ammunition;
  11. Research and make recommendations to the TA on the interaction of ordnance systems and radiation source (communications and jammer equipment);
  12. Prepare drawings, data packages and systems manuals related to ordnance and ammunition;
  13. Participate in planning meetings and technical reviews relating to the design, application management and support of software sub-systems;
  14. Track, correct and record system and equipment configuration status and/or conformance;
  15. Assist the TA in the preparation and the review of instructions and procedures regarding the appropriate handling, clean-up, protective clothing, and safety measures to deal with ordnance and ammunition;
  16. Assist the TA in conducting environmental or hazardous materiel assessments of equipment and systems;
  17. Provide support, advice, and recommendations for Factory Acceptance Testing of weapon system modifications and upgrade;
  18. Prepare and review documents for the Ammunition Safety and Suitability Board.
