The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) seeks a senior staffing consultant with expertise in creating competency profiles and assessments. The consultant’s role involves aiding the Federal Policing Strategic Management (FPSM) in filling diverse vacancies throughout the organization across different classification levels.
Initial: 12 months
Optional: 2 x 12 months
Total: 36 months ( 3 years)
Mandatory requirements
- + 8 years experience in preparing and conducting recruitment and staffing processes on behalf of management.
- + 8 years of experience in creating and presenting documents such as Statement of Merit Criteria/Qualifications, Rating Guides, Written test questions, and Interview Questions/Scenarios to Management.
- + 8 years of experience compiling and providing data to management regarding demographic information, equity, diversity and inclusion information, and recruitment process activities/results.
- + 8 years of experience in conducting recruitment and staffing processes for specific occupational classifications, such as AS (Administrative Services), EC, IT/CS, and AU.
- Experience working in or delivering staffing services to the Canadian government at different levels: Federal, Provincial, and Municipal.
General tasks
- Assessment Tools Development: Creating assessment tools like written exams, structured interview questions, reference check questionnaires, rating guides, and statement of merit criteria based on job descriptions.
- Resume/Application Screening: Coordinating screening tests, providing standardized board results, and anonymizing candidate information.
- Online Testing Platform: Integrating assessments onto online testing platforms.
- Assessment Administration: Coordinating and administering written tests, interviews, reference checks, and preparing final board reports to establish candidate pools.
- Progress Reports: Providing weekly progress updates to the Project Authority, managing oversight, reporting issues and outcomes.
- Meetings: Attending virtual kick-off meetings, regular virtual meetings with the Project Authority and stakeholders, and reporting on deliverable progress.
- Work Plan and Deliverables: Developing work plans and defining deliverables for staffing processes through an assessment strategy document post-contract.
