Natural Resources Canada requires an Organizational Design and Classification Consultant to assist and support the OEE (Office of Energy Efficiency) with the creation of positions and reorganizing of its current positions and reporting structure.

Initial: 12 months
Optional: 2 x 12 months
Total: 36 months ( 3 years)

Mandatory requirements

  1. Successfully completed at least two organizational design/classification projects in a Federal Department.
  2. University (PhD, Graduate, Undergraduate, degree)
  3. +10 years of experience in organizational design and classification consulting.

General tasks

  1. Assess the current state of the organizational chart and the age/relevance of work descriptions.
  2. Develop a structured approach to update work descriptions and mapping positions to generic work descriptions.
  3. Provide classification expertise to the OEE with organizational analysis, segregation of work streams, alternate classification strategies to meet the business needs of the OEE.
  4. Review organizational charts and provide recommendations to reflect current and accurate reporting relationships.
  5. Assist with the creation of new positions.
  6. Provide recommendations to Senior Management regarding Executive level work descriptions and structure.
