DND requires help of four Oracle APEX specialists to improve and develop internal database applications that will enable the organization to become more efficient.

Mandatory requirements

  1. Two years or more of significant and recent experience in application development with Oracle APEX version 5 or higher.
  2. Three or more years of significant recent
    experience in PL/SQL.

Rated requirements

  1. More than 5 years of significant experience in developing applications with Oracle APEX version 5 or higher within the last seven years.
  2. More than 5 years of significant recent experience with Oracle PL/SQL (stored procedures and/or packages and/or triggers and/or functions).
  3. Knowledge and experience of optimization techniques (interpreting of implementation plans) and SQL query analysis.
  4. More than 5 years of experience in database modelling using at least the first three normal forms.
  5. Recent experience in JavaScript programming.
  6. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science field.
  7. Bilingualism (understands, writes, and speaks both official languages of Canada: French and English)

General tasks

  1. Model the database using at least the first three normal forms;
  2. Develop an application using Oracle’s APEX technologies (version 22);
  3. Develop PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages and triggers;
  4. Deploy the various versions in our different environments (development, test and prod);
  5. Document the code;
  6. Optimize code as needed to deliver a high-performance application;
  7. Adhere to our development standards;
  8. Provide an application that can be used in both official languages;
  9. Meet our application development security standards;
  10. Write technical documents;
  11. Participate in meetings and collaborate with DND employees;
  12. Read and interpret analysis documents;
  13. Carry out tasks and follow priorities defined by the identified DND employee;
  14. Produce procedures for loading test cases;
  15. Develop test scenarios;
  16. Perform unit and integration tests; and
  17. Check that error messages are present and correct;
