The University seeks a Senior Analyst specialized in Project Management, as detailed below, to provide expertise and guidance to deliver specific, measurable outcomes to support process optimization and operational excellence within the University’s Project Management Office (PMO).
Mandatory requirements
- Diploma in a relevant field and applicable professional certification(s).
- Relevant experience working within the public sector or post-secondary institutions.
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives within capital project delivery environments.
- Experience in project management and coordination.
- Strong skills in presenting findings to leadership and delivering executive summaries.
- Availability for a year-long engagement with potential for ongoing involvement in implementation and tracking.
Optional requirements
- Ability to:
– Map existing processes and workflows.
– Conduct stakeholder engagement (interviews, focus groups, workshops).
– Deliver kick-off plans, stakeholder summaries, process maps, baseline metrics, and improvement roadmaps. - Ability to:
– Identify and log issues in real-time project settings.
– Develop engagement, data collection, and implementation plans.
– Perform root cause analysis and prepare recommendation reports.
– Update SOPs, process maps, and maintain change logs.
– Track effectiveness using KPIs, dashboards, and post-implementation reviews. - Capacity to coordinate multiple improvement streams concurrently.
- Ability to contribute to framework refinement through continuous feedback and lessons learned.
General tasks and Responsibilities
- Apply Lean thinking, tools, and techniques consistently throughout all project phases.
- Maintain professionalism and respect in all interactions.
- Recognize and prioritize the human element in all process improvement activities.
- Analyze and map current business processes to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities using Lean methodologies.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement through interviews, workshops, and validation sessions.
- Develop optimized process workflows, including value stream maps, use cases, and related documentation.
- Prepare and present comprehensive Process Improvement Reports with recommendations, implementation plans, and success criteria.
- Support implementation of approved changes, including preparation of training materials and change management resources.
- Establish and track performance metrics, providing regular updates to PMO leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with institutional policies, compliance, and strategic goals.
- Independently manage projects as needed to test and apply continuous improvements.
