PSC requires System Analysts to support the migration of its desktop environment from Windows 10 to Windows 11 on 64-bit workstations managed by MECM 2303.
Mandatory requirements
- must have a minimum of five (5) years within the last ten (10) years of relevant experience as a System Analyst;
- minimum of four (4) years of experience within the last eight (8) years developing and modifying scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure on IaaS and PaaS platforms;
- minimum of four (4) years of experience within the last eight (8) years evaluating and identifying the best cloud solutions for an organization;
- minimum of four (4) years of experience within the last eight (8) years incorporating security management and privacy requirements into cloud services and applications;
- minimum of four (4) years of experience within the last eight (8) years configuring and deploying containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Open Shift, Open Stack, or other Open-Source cloud technologies.
Optional requirements
- has experience within the last eight (8) years from the date of bid closing writing or designing automation scripts using the command line tools/scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash;
- has experience within the last eight (8) years from the date of bid closing working in a DevSecOps environment;
- should have project experience in reviewing, advising, and assisting with migrating federal public sector workloads to the Cloud at the PBMM classification level;
General Tasks
- Meet with the Project Authority/key stakeholders to confirm their requirements and their vision;
- Review documents provided by the Project Authority in order to understand the PSC systems and processes relevant to the project;
- Provide knowledge transfer, coaching and/or training to PSC employees so that they can perform the similar work in the same or other areas of the organization if required;
- Develop and provide, all relevant material including the processes of change, risks, action items, issues, resolutions, solutions and decision for the purposes of knowledge transfer;
- Prepare Weekly Status reports and Work plans;
- Provide other related services;
- Develop requirements, feasibility, cost, design, and specification documents;
- Analyze and recommend alternatives and options for solutions;
- Create, deploy and support task sequences, and OS and software packages in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM);
- Plan, create and maintain reports in SCCM;
- Create and support Active Directory Objects, attributes and Group Policy Objects (GPOs); and
- Create and support LDAP queries and MS PowerShell scripts.
- Provide direction and guidance to PSC in the Windows 11 migration project and do the related work.
- Assist and participate to Win11 upgrade implementation
- Provide recommendations and guidance to improve software packaging and update process
- Implement recommendations for the above point ”o.”
- Upon request support and assist PSC Desktop and M365 team for all related operational tasks and duties.
- Make recommendations and implement a modern toolset to better remotely manage and support user accounts and IT assets (laptops) while complying/aligning with GC, TBS and SSC guidelines and restrictions. s. Provide supporting documents and work in collaboration and integration with the PSC desktop and M365 team.
