The Department of National Defence (DND) requires a Store services personnel to collect, transport and destroy classified documents, media, and hard drives in accordance with National Defence Security Orders and Directives (NDSOD).
Mandatory requirements
- Secret security clearance
- Successful completion of two years of secondary school or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
- Forklift operation experience
- 12 months of relevant experience
- Material handling experience
- Office installation experience
General Tasks
- Collect classified waste materials, including documents, hard drives, burn bags
- Dismantle hard drives and other electronics as necessary
- Load boxes of classified waste materials onto skids
- Organize and move skids of classified waste materials
- Must be able to run and use an electric pump truck
- Travel to different DND locations within the NCR to collect classified waste materials
- Operate the proper machinery to destroy classified materials
- Lifting and carrying boxes up to 66lbs
- Performing warehouse work, including shipping and receiving, order picking, wrapping, mailroom, moving material, restacking, quality control, administration, and inventory control
- Operating computers, basic tools, hand tools, wrapping equipment, electric pallet lifts, manual pallet lifts, cherry pickers and forklifts
- Providing guidance or overseeing other workers
