The Department of National Defence (DND) requires the services of a Senior Technology Architect for the Implementation of the FAcT Training System.

Mandatory requirements

  • A degree/diploma in computer science, information technology, information management;
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certificate/Equivalent.
  • Five years of experience within the past decade in producing Government of Canada and Treasury Board project approval documents and presentations for Major Capital Projects exceeding $5M. This encompasses creating Project Briefs, Project Charters, Statements of Requirements (SOR), Business Cases, Investment Plan Change Proposals (IPCP), PRICIE, and Project Complexity and Risk Analysis (PCRA).
  • Five years of demonstrated experience using Microsoft Project in the past decade.

General tasks

  • Participate in IM/IT OIWG Sub-Working Group Meeting(s) for DND System IT requirements.
  • Analyse information and timelines derived from meetings and the Integrated Master Schedule.
  • Develop Presentation(s), create schedules and budget forecasts and provide consultation(s) to 1CAD, 2CAD, 15 Wing, 17 Wing, 77 Line Regiment, DADD, FAcT IM/IT Team, Senior RCAF Management, and FAcT Management.
  • Capture feedback and provide guidance and technical recommendations.
  • Participate in Site Inspections at each Base.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery, Threat Risk Assessment(s), and Vulnerability Testing.
  • Analyse information and timelines derived from meetings against FAcT IM/IT Requirements.
  • Develop Presentation(s) and provide consultation(s) with CSP, DIM Secur, 1CAD, 2CAD, 15 Wing, 17 Wing, 77 Line Regiment, SSC, Directorate Air Domain & Development (DADD), FAcT IM/IT Team, FAcT Management, the SI, and Other Stakeholders.
  • Capture feedback and decisions and provide guidance and technical recommendations.
