Network Analyst

The Department of National Defence (DND) requires the services of a Network Analyst to ensure the overall maintenance, life cycling, consistency, and alignment of a DND information systems network.

Mandatory requirements

• minimum of 10 years of experience in performing a minimum of 80% of the Tasks below. Part of this experience must be from within the previous 36 months;

Optional requirements

• minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in preparing implementation plans for network routing and switching;
• minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in installing and monitoring particular facets of routing and switching technology;
• minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in configuring and optimizing technical installations;
• minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and responding to user problems;
• minimum of 10 years of demonstrated experience in maintaining up-to-date knowledge of network routing and switching technologies and products supporting that technology;

General tasks

• Must perform advanced configuration support to complex mesh network topology-based networks, maintaining and supporting the integrity of the network environment and various network systems. These tasks include the following:
  • Prepare implementation plans for particular technologies;
  • Installs and monitors particular facets of technology;
  • Configures and optimizes technical installations;
  • Troubleshoots, and responds to user problems; and
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of particular technologies and products supporting that technology.
