Application / Software Architect (Digital Solution Architect)

DND requires the help of a Senior Application/Software Architect to provide business and capability planning and business design support to the ICAM project.

Mandatory requirements

  • Must have one of the following academic credentials:
    A degree from a recognized university in a science, mathematics, engineering or IM/IT field
    A diploma (minimum 2 years) from a recognized college in a science, mathematics, engineering or IM/IT field
  • Minimum of ten years of collective experience within the last fifteen years designing, configuring and maintaining software applications or IM/IT systems, with a user base of at least 10,000 people
  • Minimum of ten years of collective experience within the last fifteen years ensuring the integration of all aspects of a technology solution in a large IM/IT project, defined as a project building a system for over 10,000 active users
  • minimum of fifve (5) years of collective experience writing the following types of documents for IM/IT projects within the last ten (10) years, specifically:
    • Technical architecture documentation;
    • System design documents;
    • System integration specifications;
    • System Engineering Specification
    • Systems Requirements Specification
    • System Integration Plan
    • System implementation plans;
    • Test plans and reports; and
    • Concept of Support or lifecycle support
      plans.
  • Minimum of ten years of collective experience within the last fifteen years analyzing and evaluating alternative technology solutions to meet business problems
  • Must have experience working on Identity, Credential and Access Management (ICAM) projects within the last ten (10) years.

Optional requirements

  • Experience within the last five years developing technical architectures and models for IM/IT projects
  • Experience within the last five years in data modelling and/or data architecting.
  • Certification, or a minimum of two years of collective experience, with the following technologies or methodologies:
    • Familiarity with Standards: in-depth
      knowledge of relevant standards
      including Security Assertion Markup
      Language (SAML), OpenID Connect,
      OAuth, and X.509 PKI standard; and
    • strong understanding of current
      popular ICAM vendor solutions,
      including Okta, Radiant Logic,
      SailPoint, Saviynt, Ping Identity,
      ForgeRock, and CyberArk.

General tasks

  • In collaboration with the client/stakeholders, conduct kick-off meetings to identify organizational critical success factors and Key Performance Indicators to scope the context for digital solution Architecture(s) by conducting analysis(es) of the business environments(s), external drivers and the business strategy(ies);
  • Provide domain-specific advice related to digital transformation during meetings, Technical Working Group sessions, or at any times as requested by the client, in support the architectural work. This may be in the form of presentations, briefings, dashboards, etc.;
  • Collaborate with the other enterprise and domain architects on cross functional initiatives and the identification of digitalization opportunities;
  • Conduct Capability Assessments to identify capability optimization focus areas, gaps, risks and the organization’s readiness for digital transformation;
  • Analyze the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement;
  • Develop an integrated view of the enterprise’s digital capabilities and processes using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques;
  • Provide high-level designs across the Digital Technology domain that could include domains such as Web and Mobile applications, Application Programming Interface (API), Content Management Systems (CMS), Client Relationship Management (CRM), Digital Asset Management (DAM) etc.;
  • Construct digital business models, technology roadmaps/blueprints, which may include digital capabilities, functions and processes, technology stack and organization design;
  • Design and develop prototypes and Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) to support proposed digital transformation architectures and confirm and quantify effort and risk associated with deployment of new solutions based on the prototypes and POCs;
  • Develop digital standards, best practices and digital roadmap, synchronized with the overall enterprise future state architecture;
  • Architect the framework and platform to support the digital transformation of applications and iterate until optimal deployment model is mature – i.e. minimize cost, complexity, risk to deploy; and
  • Coach, mentor and train the organization(s) to perform any of the above.
