DND requires the help of a Senior IM Architect to provide business and capability planning and business design support to the ICAM project.
Mandatory requirements
- Must have one of the following academic credentials:
A degree from a recognized university in a science, mathematics, engineering or IM/IT field
A diploma (minimum 2 years) from a recognized college in a science, mathematics, engineering or IM/IT field - Minimum of ten years of collective experience within the last fifteen years designing, configuring and maintaining software applications or IM/IT systems, with a user base of at least 10,000 people
- Minimum of ten years of collective experience within the last fifteen years ensuring the integration of all aspects of a technology solution in a large IM/IT project, defined as a project building a system for over 10,000 active users
- minimum of ten (10) years of collective experience writing the following types of documents for IM/IT projects within the last fifteen (15) years, specifically:
– Data architecture;
– System design;
– Data Models;
– Interoperability requirements;
– Integration Requirements;
– Security Categorization;
– Privacy impact Assessment. - Minimum of ten years of collective experience within the last fifteen years analyzing and evaluating alternative technology solutions to meet business problems
Optional requirements
- Experience within the last five years developing technical architectures and models for IM/IT projects
- Experience within the last five years in data modelling and/or data architecting.
- Certification, or a minimum of two years of collective experience, with the following technologies or methodologies:
• experience with ICAM solutions including SailPoint IdentityIQ, Okta, CyberArk Privileged Access Security, Entrust IdentityGuard, Active
Directory/LDAP or similar products;
• Strong working knowledge of ICAM protocols including LDAP, SAML, WS-Fed, OpenID/OpenIDConnect, SCIM, OAuth;
• Data Modelling Tool;
• SQL;
• Data Management; or
• Previous ICAM and Data-Centric Security experience. - Experience within the last five (5) years in architecting or deploying solutions around cloud architecture.
General tasks
- Develop information architecture models, data management frameworks and strategies for an organization or for major applications aligned with business and application requirements;
- Provide information management/data management advice during meetings, Technical Working Group sessions, or at any time as requested by the client, in support the architectural work. This may be in the form of presentations, briefings, dashboards, etc.;
- Analyze, evaluate, develop and document current state (As-Is) data models and metadata properties and future state (To-be) enterprise data models;
- Develop future state (To-be) information management/data architectural vision(s) by defining requirements, developing principles and building models at various levels of abstraction;
- Document the current architecture state (As-Is) to the minimum level of detail required to provide the level of magnitude (depth and breadth) of the architectural effort required to accomplish the migration from the As-Is to the To-be state;
- Analyze and evaluate alternative information solutions to meet business problems;
- Identify policies and requirements that define information-focused solutions;
- Ensure the integration of all aspects of information architecture solutions;
- Develop usable information architecture(s), which may include a data model, associated meta-model, common business vocabulary, ontologies and taxonomies, which will be used to guide solution development and achieve consistency of information assets across the
- enterprise/application portfolio;
- Evaluate software to support specified information requirements and by determining potential and actual bottlenecks, improve system performance through recommended hardware changes;
- Create strategies and plans for data capacity planning, data security, life cycle data management, scalability, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and archiving;
- Create short-term tactical solutions to achieve long-term objectives and an overall data management roadmap;
- Develop and deliver long-term strategic goals for data architecture vision and standards in conjunction with data users, business, and key stakeholders;
- Review data and information requirements as well as communication and response needs and develop a data management implementation plan;
- Assess and determine governance, stewardship, and frameworks for managing data across the enterprise;
- Develop the enterprise-wide guidelines and standards for cataloging and maintaining data repositories;
- Collaborate with the client(s)/stakeholders to establish implementation/migration plans comprised of milestones and resource requirements, task and a description(s) of the architecture alignment with business planning; and
- Coach, mentor and train the organization(s) to perform any of the above.
