The Directorate Land Procurement (DLP) and the Directorate of Soldier Systems Program Management (DSSPM) of the Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement for professional services to support the definition and implementation of land equipment projects
Mandatory requirements
- minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience, within the last fifteen (15) years, performing a minimum of seven of the following Material Management activities:
- Materiel Policy Development
- Materiel Requirements Planning
- Stocktaking
- Materiel Transactional Data Entry
- Inventory Management
- Asset Distribution
- Replenishment
- Materiel Attestation
- Materiel Disposal
- five (5) years of experience in material management activity
- minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience, within the last fifteen (15) years, using an SAP-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software for material management transactions
General tasks
These tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
- The Intermediate Supply Specialist #1 will focus on the commodities within DSSPM 2; Badges, Flags and Textiles.
- The Intermediate Supply Specialist #2 will focus on the commodities within DSSPM 3; Operational and Non-Operational Clothing and Footwear.
- The Intermediate Supply Specialist #3 will focus on the commodities within DSSPM 3; Operational and PPE/Ballistic Clothing.
- The Intermediate Supply Specialist #4 will focus on the commodities within DSSPM 3; Life Preservers.
- The Intermediate Supply Specialist #5 will focus on the commodities within DSSPM 4; Weapons and Ammunition.
- The Intermediate Supply Specialist #6 will focus on the commodities within DSSPM 9; STANO, Day/Night Observation and Camouflage/Concealment.
- For all Intermediate Supply Specialists – Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
- a. Preparing Recommended Order Buy (ROB) lists with data pulled from the Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS).
- b. Work with the TA to establish, verify and modify cataloguing data in the Canadian Government Cataloguing System (CGCS).
- c. Analyze Distribution Resource Planning (DRP) data to monitor supply activities.
- d. Planning and implementing materiel provisioning and distribution.
- e. Setting up, maintaining, and managing supply accounts in support of Materiel Acquisition and Support (MA&S) activities.
- f. Performing material management activities in support of configuration management.
- g. Monitor supply activities in support of maintenance, repair, overhaul, and Equipment Management Team activities.
