Health Canada requires the help of Senior Communications Consultant to strengthen its training offering by developing a new workshop on Health Risk Communication and revising an existing workshop “Scientific Writing within the Health Canada Regulatory Framework” to align learning objectives and content with the new Health Risk Communications and to constitute a pre-requisite to this workshop.
Mandatory requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in the role of facilitator responsible for providing training, ensuring knowledge transfer, providing coaching, and assessing participant learning. With demonstrated variety in:
Target audience (different levels of hierarchy including senior management)
Facilitation methods and techniques
Regional and national scope - Valid Public Service Commission language testing scores OR a reference from a previous client that the proposed resource is fluently bilingual (English and French)
Optional requirements
- Experience in facilitating Health Risk Communications training in a Federal Department or Agency which include the following subjects:
Health Risk Management
Developing an Effective Risk Communication Strategy
Strategic Risk Communications Guiding Principles and Their Application
Developing Scientific and Regulatory Communications Skills
High Impact Communication Techniques
Communicating and Defending Risk-based Decisions (verbally & in writing)
How to Frame Your Ideas and Plans to Influence Stakeholders
Interpret and “translate” Scientific and Segulatory Information Into Clear and Accurate Communication Products
