The Sexual Misconduct Support and Resource Centre (SMSRC) has the mandate to provide services to current and former Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, Veterans, Cadets, Junior Canadian Rangers, past and present Department of National Defense (DND) Public Service employees, family members, and other eligible persons defined by the SMSRC as Affected Person(s), to enhance on-line and in-person services.
The SMSRC requires the services of a system analyst to support systems engineering activities for the Confide & Help Confide applications. This includes the creation and maintenance of workflow, process, and data flow diagrams, understanding and mapping the system as it is developed, attending technical meetings, and creating all required deliverables in visual and written format.
Mandatory requirements
- Must have 8 years of experience as a Systems Analyst;
- 5 years of experience preparing documents in accordance with the Department of National Defence/Canadian Forces (DND/CF) Architecture Framework;
- Must hold a university degree in the field of Engineering, Science, Business Administration or Project Management from a recognized university;
- 5 years of experience in complex technical system analysis in all 5 of the following areas:
- Functional models,
- Data flow models,
- User stories and test cases,
- Logic models, and
- Process flow diagrams.
- 5 years of experience in conducting problem analysis, testing, and troubleshooting to resolve issues and provide recommendations for the best resolutions to clients in Project Management /or Engineering/ or Science / or Business Administration field;
- 4 years of experience as a project manager
General tasks
- Develop requirements design, and specification documents for systems
- Analysis of architecture requirements design, process development, process mapping and training
- Implement systems to support projects, departments, organizations, or businesses
- Translate business requirements into systems design and specifications
- Develop various system models, process flows, and other system diagrams
- Analyze and recommend alternatives and options for solutions
- Develop technical specifications for systems development, design, and implementation
- Participate in meetings and support meetings convened by the SMSRC and the TA
- Provide written reports on the progress of all assigned tasks/deliverables when requested by the TA
- Create and update (when required) the following documents as requested:
- Program requirements
- Performance measurement framework activities
- Service model
- Functional model
- Data flow model
- User stories and test cases
- Logic model
- Process flow
- Other diagrams (depending on testing, training materials, approval processes, etc.)
- Other program development and governance activities as requested by the Technical Authority
