The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement to develop cyber resiliency programs to protect critical military networks and equipment from cyber-attacks by establishing processes that will incorporate cyber security requirements into the existing departmental project management processes.

Mandatory requirements

  • more than 5 years of experience Providing Project Administration services in a Cybersecurity Organization, ideally within the Canadian Army;
  • more than 5 years of experience using a SAP-based ERP, ideally DRMIS ;
  • more than 5 years of experience creating travel arragements and submitting travel expense claims, ideally using ClaimsX;
  • more than 5 years of experience coordinating requests for information, ideally handling Access to Information and Privacy (ATIP) requests.

General tasks

  • Provide expertise in the support of specific projects undertaken in platform cybersecurity initiatives, including assistance in strategic planning, analysis and conducting research as necessary to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Provide project support to the members of the project team consisting of Canadian Army Military and Civilian Public Servants, Students and Contracted Temporary Help Services (THS) by developing projects, plans and processes to support Team activities.
  • Develop project and documentation control systems and assist project personnel in maintaining project documentation and records in accordance with departmental records management requirements.
  • Maintain and update financial files and databases (Defence Resource Management Information System [DRMIS] and Records, Document and Information Management System [RDIMS]), supporting the Project’s simple and more complex procurement requirements, such as Procurement Instruments, Contracts, Invoicing and Payment Records, etc.
  • Create, maintain, track, and store specific project documentation (e.g., project briefs, evaluation reports, supporting databases, communication plans etc.).
  • Prepare, collect, and integrate administrative project plans for submission to the Technical Authority as required.
  • Provide professional project administrative support to the Project Management Office and assist the project management teams in all management activities including, but not limited to, financial, human resources, and records management, in accordance with Departmental Military and Non-Military guidelines and procedures.
  • Maintain and track financial transactions for specific projects, such as Service Level Agreements, Cyber Tabletop Exercises, etc. at the Project Team Level.
  • Make travel arrangements for project members, contractors, and external participants (Industry, OGD,etc.), and ensure claims and/or reimbursements are properly accounted for.
