The Department of National Defence (DND) requires a Business Analyst to provide complex program analysis using DRMIS.

Initial duration of engagement: 5 months
Optional renewal periods: 4 x 1 year

Option periods: 250 days per year

Location of work: 45 boul Sacré Coeur, Gatineau, Québec.

Mandatory requirements

  • Must hold a valid Secret clearance
  • 5+ years of experience, within last 10 years, as a warehouse manager responsible for the management and optimization of inventory including the following responsibilities:
    • Use space efficiently ensuring quality and budgetary targets are met;
    • Coordinate the use of automated and computerized systems;
    • Keep stock control systems up to date and inventory accuracy;
    • Plan future capacity requirements; and
    • Optimize exiting and future stock levels to meet customer requirements.
  • 5+ years of experience, within the last 10 years, using SAP Enterprise Resource Planning Materiel Management module in at least 2 of the following tasks:
    • Material Requirements Planning (MRP) including planning and maintenance of multiple key External Material Groups planning object for the MRP run;
    • Forecast based planning;
    • Consumption based planning with automation;
    • Force Element (FE) planning and monitoring.
  • 2+ years of experience, within the last 10 years, using the Materiel Management module of SAP as a primary job function to conduct:
    • Cost savings analysis of inventory; and
    • Usage and consumption-based planning with automation.

Rated requirements

  • Further experience working with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning Materiel management Module: Ideally 8+ years.
  • At least 2 years experience conducting cost savings analysis of inventory in the Materiel Management module in DMIS as a primary job function. Ideally 5+ years.
  • Must have completed at least 4 of the following courses, ideally all 7:
    • EWM 100 Process in SAP External Warehouse Management;
    • EWM 110 Basic Customized SAP EWM;
    • EWM 120 Customizing Additional Topics in SAP S/4 HANA EWM;
    • EWM 130 Production integration with SAP EWM;
    • SCM 425 Consumption Base Planning and Forecasting in SAP S/4 HANA;
    • SCM 525 Consumption Based Planning and Forecasting; and
    • SCM 671 Availability Check (ATP).

General tasks

  1. Conduct an end-to-end global analysis of the entire inventory of operational clothing and equipment in DRMIS;
  2. Independently identify data anomalies;
  3. When required and where possible, rectify data anomalies;
  4. Identify items in the DND inventory that are considered to be at risk of not meeting the demands of the CAF;
  5. Conduct detailed analytics, (on a priority basis), to identify specific periods in the one to five year horizon where key procurement activities are required;
  6. Based on detail analytics, support procurement activities by making procurement recommendations which target deficient sizes/categories of personal clothing and equipment;
  7. Recommend process improvements to ensure the integrity and completeness of DRMIS data;
  8. Document processes to extract and analyze data including specific queries and reports used in the data analysis; and
  9. Provide DRMIS Subject Matter Expertise to “users” in support of all DSSPM activities including the major clothing contracts for operational and non-operational clothing and equipment.
