The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) requires the services of experts to provide advice, expertise and support in geospatial, Alteryx, data science, data and business architecture, Tableau, market intelligence, project management and data storytelling-related activities that will support the CRTC’s efforts to modernize the data collection, processing, visualizing, publishing and communication processes related to the Communications Market Reports.

Mandatory requirements
- Education in Engineering, Business, Economics, Data Science, Information Technology;
- Professional certification in Tableau, Alteryx, GIS software, R, Python, and Business Analysis;
- Experience in gathering analytics and visualization requirements and translating them into actionable tasks;
- Experience in following up and troubleshooting issues with stakeholders and/or clients;
- Experience in documenting changes and communications/ correspondence in SharePoint or other collaborative systems;
General tasks
- Develop and review business requirements
- Capture and follow up on meetings for business requirements-gathering
- Aggregate various data sets in a Geographic Information System
- Implement data structures and record data associated with telecommunication network maps.
- Revise and update submitted GIS data sets.
- Perform quality control of submitted data sets.
- Perform geographic analysis of telecommunications networks and produce related reports.
- Analyze spatial data through the use of mapping software.
- Discover patterns and trends through spatial mapping of data.
- Design digital maps with geographic data and other data sources.
- Produce maps showing the spatial distribution of various CMR data.
- Convert physical maps into a digital form for computer usage.
- Perform data cleaning to convert data into its desired form.
- Produce reports on geographic data utilizing data visualizations
- Manage a digital library of geographic maps in various file types.
- Plan, coordinate, capture and follow up on meetings for business requirements-gathering along with their prioritization, associated business impacts, costs/cost models and business dependencies.
