A Public Sector client is seeking a Life Cycle Management Specialist to support programs and related projects. The role involves diverse life cycle tasks carried out within the client’s facilities across Canada.

Mandatory requirements

  • Must have forty-eight (48) months of experience, within the last one hundred and twenty (120) months, monitoring, repairing, modifying, and overhauling Aircraft Systems or Uncrewed Aircraft Systems
  • Must have forty-eight (48) months of demonstrated experience as a Life Cycle Management Manager or Specialist on aviation related systems.
  • Must have forty-eight (48) months of demonstrated combined experience within the last one hundred and twenty (120) months in the redaction of technical documents including two of the following:
    – requirements,
    – specifications,
    – checklists equipment disposal plans.
  • Fluent English

Optional requirements

  • Diploma/Degree/master’s in aerospace/mechanical/electrical computer fields.
  • Have forty-eight (48) months of demonstrated combined experience within the last one hundred and twenty (120) months in:
    a. developing correspondence and briefing notes; and,
    b. providing advice and guidance; and
    c. making recommendations on technical issues and providing briefings notes to upper management.

General Tasks

  • Monitors repair, modification and overhaul programs;
  • Monitors and directs delivery of modification kits/parts to implement field modification programs;
  • Monitor and report on material under management including cataloguing activities, spares, replacement parts, obsolescence issues, upgrade options, and divestment activities;
  • Support on-site airworthiness audits of parts, maintenance procedures and policies;
  • Provide on-site training of technicians on the Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS);
  • Inspect parts and delivery of systems from the OEM at the unit as required. Ensure compliance with maintenance requirements and procedures. Ensure that record keeping is actioned for maintenance procedures
  • Assist in the cataloguing and supply system admin of new and existing material;
  • Provides technical input in the preparation of substantiating documentation for SOWs, requests for proposals, statement of capability deficiencies, minor requirements and reviews resulting data for technical acceptability and subsequent action;
  • Approves/monitors design change requests, waivers, deviations, etc;
  • Perform analysis of maintenance, repair and overhaul data;
  • Provides technical assistance in the review of specifications, drawings, and reports;
  • Pre-installation reports, technical inspection reports, and aircraft inspection change proposals;
  • Reviews/approves modification instructions, special inspection and special information instructions for publication and distribution;
  • Provides technical assistance in the identification and screening of applicable and accessory spares and provisioning documents and reviews contract clauses;
  • Originates and carries on written technical correspondence. These include letters, memoranda, minutes of meetings, trip reports and etc;
  • Advises WSM and/or Contractor Staff on system problems and provides technical expertise on resolutions;
  • Provides technical expertise to Weapon System Manager (WSM) and/or Contractor Staff on the selection and development of systems;
  • Participates in visits to field units as required; and
  • Provides technical and administrative support to projects, advises operational staff on system problems and technical expertise for problem resolution
