A Public Sector client seeks a Senior Business Consultant to develop a new policy package, replacing an outdated 2013 manual. The role involves creating key policy documents, including a manual, directives, and glossary. Candidates should have experience in marine materiel, policy development, and supportability engineering, along with strong communication skills and knowledge of military structures.
Mandatory requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a minimum of two (2) or more of the following topics related to materiel management:
• Supply Chain Management
• Reliability
• Quality Management
• Integrated Logistics Support
• Systems Engineering - Minimum of 5 years of experience conducting Project Management activities in a marine and/or naval environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience developing policy instruments on topics related to materiel management.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting acquisition and sustainment activities to support marine and/or naval platforms.
General Tasks
- Develop policy content, including contextual information, policy statements, requirements, and delegated authorities.
- Review existing and new policy content and associated documents.
- Assess the applicability and effectiveness of current and new policy instruments.
- Evaluate the impact of new or revised policies on existing practices.
- Develop processes to implement changes.
- Ensure alignment between policy instruments within the organization.
- Engage with stakeholders to identify gaps in policy coverage.
- Update policy content based on feedback from Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders.
- Support policy implementation.
- Prepare briefing notes and presentation materials.
- Provide weekly progress updates.
- Maintain monthly timekeeping of activities.
