A Public Sector seeking Technical Clerk in support of the Directorate of Aerospace Equipment Management

Mandatory Requirements

  • University (PhD, Graduate, Undergraduate, degree) or College or CEGEP diploma/certificate;
  • (24) months demonstrated experience in the last sixty (60) months working in support of an aircraft maintenance program.
  • (24) months demonstrated experience in the last sixty (60) months working with SAP-based Information Technology Software managing technical objects and maintenance processes in SAP for aircraft.

Optional Requirements

  • 60 months or less have demonstrated experience working with SAP-based Information Technology Software managing technical objects and maintenance processes in SAP for aircraft.
  • 60 months or less have demonstrated hands-on practical experience using a public client system for managing technical objects and maintenance processes for aircraft within the last 8 years.
  • 37 months or less should have experience providing support to projects in an aircraft maintenance environment, such as integration, scope, time, cost, quality, procurement, and risks.
  • 25 months or less possess demonstrated experience working with SAP materiel identification and supply processes.
  • 37 months or less have experience working with civilian or military airworthiness policies and principles.
  • 37 months or less have experience working with Transport Canada policy and its implementation.

General Tasks

These tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform a detailed review of the technical data;
    – identify the subset of data that must be uploaded into the Plant Maintenance module of SAP;
    – ensure all data maps correspond to the SAP Plant Maintenance aircraft airworthiness data model (aircraft allowed structure, functional locations, measurement points, measurement documents, maintenance plans and maintenance task lists, etc);
    – arrange for all uploading and quality assurance checking of data into SAP;
    – total number of days charged for during the covered period;
    – cumulative number of days charged; and
    – travel costs incurred.
  • The Intermediate Technical Clerk must prepare and submit various deliverables resulting from services:
    These deliverables may include, but are not limited to the following:
    a. Reports identifying data missing in SAP;
    b. Data comparison and validation reports;
    c. Analysis reports and solution recommendations for technical issues related to EDE, SAP, and associated technical data;
    d. Verification and validation reports regarding EDE functionality, as well as audit reports of data transacted by EDE;
    e. Documents describing the business processes pertaining to management of master data in SAP;
    f. Training documents, including a description of the software functionality, the data structure, and roles of various organizations;
    g. Briefing packages; and
    h. Any other reports and recommendations, as required by the TA.
  • Technical Clerk is responsible for performing all required inspections and tests necessary to substantiate the services and/or materiel provided;
  • Must prepare monthly progress reports of the Work performed;
