A Public Sector client is seeking a Senior Engineering Graduate to support a project focused on the modernization of simulation and effects analysis.

Mandatory requirements

  • University Undergraduate Degree in Engineering
  • 7.5 years+ of demonstrated engineering experience, in the last 10 years.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within the last 10 years in the governmental project approval process of major capital equipment projects. Note: A major capital equipment project is defined as a project for the one-time acquisition of new equipment where the total project value inclusive of tax equals to or exceed $10M.
  • Minimum of 1 year of demonstrated experience within the last 5 years in preparing and modifying/updating project documentation in at least two of the following areas:
    • Treasury Board or Ministerial Submissions
    • Technical Documentation including Statements of Requirements and Specifications
    • Business Case Analysis and Integrated Logistics Support Documentation.

General Tasks

  • Conduct project related analysis;
  • Establish and maintain project operational requirements;
  • Staff Canadian Army capital equipment and miscellaneous requirement projects;
  • Direct projects through all stages of the acquisition process;
  • Coordinate and prepare project documentation;
  • Deliver project related briefings;
  • Undertake project planning, guidance and coordination activities;
  • Provide advice on procurement issues;
  • Conduct coordination for the disposal of Canadian Army equipment as necessary;
  • Monitor in-service equipment and provide advice on issues that may affect operational capability or employment;
  • Provide operational guidance on equipment projects in implementation and monitor against established goals and milestones;
  • Develop plans for the evaluation and testing of operational equipment;
  • Assist in ensuring requirements conform to approved international standards;
  • Monitor various reports including post-operations reports and unsatisfactory condition reports in order to resolve equipment issues;
  • Contribute to strategic and business planning activities;
  • Participate in project related research and development initiatives including, but not limited to Operational Research, Technology Demonstration Programs; Advanced Research Programs, and Technology Advisory Groups;
  • Execute tasks as necessary in support of current operations within scope of related projects; and
  • Assist the Technical Authority as required or directed.
