Public Sector client requires help to temporarily support the data entry and customer support services for the MPNRC.

Mandatory requirements

  • Resources must be willing to disclose any Criminal Record in order to retain access to the Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) and the Military Police and Security Information System (SAMPIS)
  • Must be bilingual

General Tasks

  • Processing, managing, maintaining and controlling data into related software and database systems;
  • Creating and maintaining SAMPIS user accounts when requested by a local SAMPIS administrator (LSA), including authorized modifications to the handle and organizational codes;
  • Keeping a register of all original SAMPIS User Acknowledgement and Termination of Service forms (DND 2822 and 2823) and maintaining a register of all user account maintenance activity;
  • Creating and maintaining MP entity record data;
  • Closing the SAMPIS accounts of all persons on release/retirement or occupational transfer or on posting to a position in which they will no longer require access to SAMPIS;
  • Processing data from hard copy reports into the SAMPIS;
  • Provide guidance to MP and deployed missions.
  • i. CPIC queries if the local system is unserviceable;
  • ii. CPIC maintenance services (add, modify and remove data). No other means of adding or modifying CPIC information is authorized;
  • iii. CPIC hit confirmations;
  • a. CPIC hit confirmations are normally received at the MPNRC via a CPIC message. When a hit confirmation message is received by the MPNRC, staff shall confirm the information within the CPIC file and forward the request to the originating MP unit. Staff will then contact the MP unit by phone to confirm that the hit confirmation message has been received;
  • iv. Conducting queries on the CPIC system;
  • v. Modifying CPIC records that have been entered into the CPIC system by the MPNRC operator;
  • vi. Generating case files for additions to the CPIC system:
  • vii. Keeping the CPIC file register updated;
  • viii. Liaising with other military and civilian police agencies;
  • ix. Drafting and transmitting CPIC messages;
  • x. Providing CPIC guidance to all bases and their respective shifts when requested;
  • xi. Creating and maintaining CPIC user accounts when requested by a LSA;
  • xii. Keeping a register of all original CPIC User Acknowledgement and termination of Service forms (DND 2820 and 2821);
  • xiii. Closing the CPIC accounts of all persons on release/retirement or occupational transfer or on posting to a position in which they will no longer require access to CPIC; and
  • xiv. CPIC background checks (MPNRC desk staff or CF MP Gp National CPIC Coordinator).
